For as long as FP can remember, he's always had Fred Andrews by his side. They are best friends and Fred was also appointed to stay by his side and protect the Serpent King. Though Fred's job is to protect FP, there is nothing FP wouldn't do for Fred, or ask the Serpents to do to protect Fred.

Fred's son, Archie, has been appointed to protect FP's boy, Jughead, however, neither boys know that and FP wants to keep it that way for now. Archie and Jughead are best friends and FP wants the boys to develop their own strong friendship and have a relative normal childhood while they can.
